Oh no!

I thought I should probably come up with something more eloquent than "it's brilliant", but my head is still fuzzy (probably fuzzier than it was yesterday ::)), and I don't want to be cruel to people who haven't got it yet. I've been trying to work out if I have any favourites, and if I do, they are Brown Adam (I'll always have a soft spot for it, because they played it the first time I saw them (in 2004), and it was the one that really grabbed me and made me realise I was witnessing something really special), Rochdale Coconut Dance (because it's Rochdale Coconut Dance!) or Haul Away (because I LOVE JIGGERY POKERWORK!!!)

And that's me being eloquent. I think I need coffee.
The hurrier I go, the behinder I get

It might be a bit difficult to find because as the information isn't out in the big wide internet world yet everything comes up as "unknown" unless you put the information in manually.

Strange. When I put the CD into my comp for the first time (early on Wednesday morning), it recognised everything immediately.

Really interesting and enjoyable stuff. I too am pleased to see the Bryan Adams song in there. And lovely version of Robin Hood. Well done everyone. :D

Loving the album! Especially love the chorus songs, i.e. Bold Sir Rylas, Prickle-Eye and Haul Away.  :)

Just putting my copy onto iTunes before I have a listen. Don't they look cold in the photos?  Just a tiny niggle, but it happens to me all the time these days - the text in the booklet is very small.  Think I may have to keep a magnifier with my CD collection!

...and iTunes has picked up all the track names, and classified the album as "Traditional".

I have started having the same problem, Shelley - trouble is I keep forgetting to take my specs wherever I go. I do have a bookmark which is a magnifier too - that comes in very handy. My arms are now not quite long enough for small print.

My MP3 ripping software wants to tag the album as "General Country"!
When you're a kid, they tell you it's all "grow up. Get a job. Get married. Get a house. Have a kid, and that's it." But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It's so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.

Does anybody know if the new album will become available for sale at shops where people from abroad can order it or at iTunes? Would love to buy a copy.

Regards,

Joanna.

I am sure it will - but not due for release until summer - maybe July?

Right I've made a wiki page for it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Works_%28Spiers_and_Boden_album%29

Let me know if you spot any mistakes. :)
