Anthem?
« on: Tuesday, July 19 2011 10:34PM GMT-1 »
So was watching a show about writing songs. And it was talking about ballads & anthems. I was trying to pinpoint what Bellowhead's anthem would be...seemed to be so many of them. ;)
What's your thoughts?

My immediate thought was Prickle-eye Bush too.

But then I thought it maybe should be Legs and Teeth - I can't remember a gig where they've not finished with that, but I haven't heard them do Prickle-eye Bush for ages.

Be interesting to know what the band think!

I would say Prickle-Eye Bush is more Spiers & Boden's anthem.....

Shouldn't an anthem say something about the band? That being so I'm not sure Prickle-Eye Bush has the right message!

Then perhaps it is 'London Town'. As Jon has often said in concerts, it's about the experience of at least two members of the band.
