Who would you like to see supporting Bellowhead?
« on: Tuesday, August 9 2011 11:16PM GMT-1 »
Thought it would be interesting to start a discussion - clearly some of you on other threads had a clear un-preference (!) for a certain band - so who WOULD you like?

I saw Rua Macmillan earlier this year and he was very lively - so thought he might be good

(but of course, if I had a vote, I would always vote for Sam and Hannah!)

I'd like either of those duos. How about folk award winners, 'Moore, Moss, Rutter'?
When you're a kid, they tell you it's all "grow up. Get a job. Get married. Get a house. Have a kid, and that's it." But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It's so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.

Or Pilgrims Way, or Doghan Mehmet, or Phil Henry and Hannah Martin

I would think that they'd have to a small outfit who use a minimum number of channels.

I'd certainly be more than happy with Doghan or Phil Henry and Hannah Martin.

Walsh and Pound is a great shout as is Moore, Moss, Rutter. Not sure about Sam Carter, I know he's done it before (and is brilliant!) but I'm not sure its the right crowd for him.

Before I suggest anyone what is the role of the the support act? What makes a good support act? Must they be a music act or could they be a juggling act for example?

I would think music is essential - although of course, there were some circus acts at the new year party.

I'd definitely put in a vote for Hannah and Sam, or how about Lady Maisery?

The circus acts were fine for the party, but at a gig I'd rather have music.

I didn't like to mention him for fears of traumatising those who were there all over again!
