How about the male stripper from NYE?

no, No, NO! *covers eyes*

Walsh and Pound would be fabulous - they're quite upbeat as well, which I prefer in a support act, otherwise my back starts aching and I get grumpy(ier). Am thoroughly enjoying their CD which was a bit of an impulse buy at Sidmouth  :)

I'm astonished Pemsey's daughter survived intact after that!  Definitely no male strippers, thank you.  Or knife throwers.

Depends which one you mean. The one that wasn't Mr Fox was rather nice, I thought.

I'll second Walsh & Pound.

Hmm...what about 'The Bailey Sisters'(Shelley is at nearly every gig anyway. lol!), an up and coming melodeon player called 'Ollie King' ;) or Deadmoney Duo.

Ooooh LadyD, that would be a dream come true!  If only we didn't have those inconvenient things called day jobs (that's assuming we'd ever be considered of course!)

I'd like someone like Gilmore Roberts as support

Seconded on all accounts!

Ooh yes, Kat and Jamie would be great - they did a fab job supporting Fairport on this year's Wintour.

I've got to second Lucy Ward, she's just fab. Such personality I think she'd get us in the right mood!  :aemo_trm:

I think Lucy Ward, too. I've never seen her live and I think I ought to!

Nobody! That way they are on stage longer!

(No disrespect to the Bailey sisters and other artistes mentioned)

Oh, but I DO like the very lovely and jolly Lucy Ward and the type of songs she sings would be a great intro to Bellowhead's darker numbers.

Dan Plews.  I saw him solo in Rugby about 3 years ago, but he's in a duo with someone at the mo (can't remember who!).  He's jolly good.  There - a considered opinion if ever there was one!

Dan plays with Guy Fletcher as Dansmall. They supported Jon and the RKs when I saw them in Stony Stratford on their first tour. They are good!
