NY Girls tune?

Anyone know what the tune is in New York Girls. I've heard Jon talk about it but never name it...

I can play it now, but it would just be nice to know what it's called.

Many thanks Jon. I did wonder about it being done just for the song.

'Around Cape Horn' fits nicely! :)

I heard it first on a Steeleye Span album - the All Around My Hat Line-up. It rings a bell that, at the time, I read the tune had a different name (not "New Your Girls"). Can't remember it though - sorry!

Hi, just to clarify - the song melody is called 'Can't you dance the polka' (i think) and pre-dates the song - it was a popular dance-hall tune (late C19th ?). The instrumental 32 bar reel played by Bellowhead was written by me for the Bellowhead arrangement. I'd of course be delighted if anyone wants to use it as a session tune. J
