We do occasionally wonder about the "bunnyboy" in Child Morris...

Also in Fire Marengo:   "Oh screw that cart and screw it down"
The first time i heard it i thought there was a VERY naughty word there indeed! "Cart" is NOT what i thought i heard it was the VERY naughty word beginning with "C" and ending in "T" if you catch my drift!  :o  BTW im not the only person i know who thought this either!

Nope, maybe I've got a dirty mind, but I invariably hear that 'other' word as well  :D

And he certainly seems to sing it that way when he thinks no-one's listening properly!

Just solved one very long-standing mystery (if only because it's taken me so long to go and check the lyrics!), but finally I know what that mysterious line in the middle of rambling sailor is:

"besides a pair of silk satin shoes"

All I ever hear is something to the tune of "I'll sink some ships"! Not quite right then...  :D

In Child Morris... first time I heard it thought it said 'ladies playing at football' ... I wondered why they were having a five-a-side match. lol!

Oh, I've just remembered another one - you know when the band are singing in fire Marengo the second time, and they get to the 'hot shot to the fore' bit - I *always* hear 'I'm shocked and appalled' (perhaps they are!) :D

Well some of us have dirty minds when it comes to Fire marengo. The one that tricks me is ....I'll bust her blocks and make her...ahem........

but then when you check out the lyrics, they can be read on many levels.....

I'm sure I heard something about "rolling her down to Julie Andrews" in one of last night's encores.
14th Jan - All Saints, Harrow Weald, 3rd Feb - Brewery Tap, Doncaster, 5th Feb - St Ninians, Chorlton, 25th March - Northwich Folk Club, 10th June - Knitted Character Folk Festival

My friend saw Bellowhead for the first time recently (and enjoyed them, of course). But she did say, "Did Jon Boden really sing his own name at the beginning of that Jordan song?"

Mind you, she was the same person who thought S&B had a song about Bryan Adams. Too much live music plays havoc with your ears, I reckon.  ;)
