Where exactly are you?  And which River is it?  We live literally on the Great Ouse.

was that for me?
I'm in Gainsborough on the Trent. Lovely river but I don't live on it -about a 10min walk from the banks. I love my river:)

Just booked for Arnside on 16th April (nearly missed out - spotted by chance in local paper).

REALLY looking forward to the Burnley concert on the 12th April. Saw John and Jon at Darwen last year and they totally changed my listening habits.....!

Thanks for the welcome Maureen - my only regret is that I didn't discover (or appreciate) this wonderful music earlier in my life. The best thing is that I have a great deal of catching up to do...!

Welcome BaristaPete, you're going to have such a good time!
When you're a kid, they tell you it's all "grow up. Get a job. Get married. Get a house. Have a kid, and that's it." But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It's so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.

Welcome BaristaPete - I think discovering this music and this forum has had a positive effect on a lot of people's lives - and it doesn't mean you can't still rock out to Led Zep either  ;D

Thanks Stephen and Lorna for the great welcome. It's amazing how uplifting this music is..!

As you say Lorna, it won't stop me enjoying Led Zep (or indeed Floyd and early Queen stuff) but I find myself reaching for 'The Works' and 'Vagabond' on an almost daily basis  :)

I have managed to convert at least three of my colleagues who are coming with me to see the lads play in April (and also to see Bellowhead at the Lowry in November)

Looking forward to enjoying many years of musical excellence.

Just a quick heads up few of the spring tour dates on the S&B website are showing the wrong date. The list from the Stepping Stones festival onwards has the date for the day after shown for each venue i.e. QEH is shown as the 11th May not the 10th. I mention it as we just had a slight panic about booking the wrong day off! :o

Burnley was wonderful.....!   The lads started on a high with 'Prickle Eye Bush' and went from strength to strength ending with an encore of 'New York Girls'.  The tunes have been going through my head ALL day long - Fantastic evening  ;D

I nearly had a panic too.

When I looked at it at about 6.30 the dates seemed to be OK, at least the QEH and the one following - was it a quick fix or are we not all seeing the same things?
