2013 Spring Tour
« on: Monday, October 22 2012 07:14PM GMT-1 »
John tweeted: "Yes - Spiers & Boden are definitely touring in Spring 2013 and we've got something a bit different planned. Details very soon!"

Sounds interesting!

Just found this;

Spiers & Boden - The Backyards Songs Tour

"For their annual spring tour in 2013 Bellowhead front men Spiers & Boden will be inviting a little more audience participation than usual. All areas of the country have their own traditional songs, dances and customs and as part of the Backyard Songs Tour Jon & John are inviting fans to suggest folk gems with local significance, whether it be a traditional song collected nearby that John and Jon can perform at the gig, a dance tune associated with the area, or a local group who might cameo in the Spiers & Boden show."

Sounds good. Although reading words backyard tour...thought it was touring backyards. Lol
Neighbours would love that. I have an ensuite garden you know.

Sounds really interesting. I hope they come round our way again - there's plenty of music from Adderbury to choose from!

The only local stuff I know is the tune wot I wrote. lol!

But the nearest gig is always on the other side of london....so it wouldn't exactly be local.  ;)

Although there is one just sprung to mind....I think its called rolling down the river.

If they go to Cambridge, it'd be great to see them perform with Gog Magog Molly.  :)

I hope they come North of Manchester - it would be great to see them 'duet' with the Britannia Coconut dancers from Bacup...!   8)

I'm hoping they might get Mawkin along to the Colchester gig. I think their song "Oh, Joe" is an Essex one.
