It really was a great night  :) We also got London Pride and London Town, along with a few that had been picked up along the way. I hope the Ashby de la Zouche song doesn't get ditched, it was so funny! Also enjoyed what I saw of Hammersmith morris.

Yes, it was fantastic. And although the guys had been playing for a ceilidh in the afternoon, and had reached the end of a long tour, they were full of energy and enthusiasm. Great to see so many from here, and to have a lovely Mark-hug (don't get those from Adam!)

Ashby de la Zouch was hilarious - " Where the sky is always blue, and the cows are full of moo"! There are no plans to include on their next CD, sadly!
"nobody died wishing they'd done more housework"

Over Sunday lunch we were telling my mother about Ashby de la Zouch, and she joined in the chorus. Apparently it was a well known comic song in her youth - travelled as far as Yorkshire.

Thank you so much for the ceilidh - we had a fantastic time. Though it almost seemed a waste to be busy dancing and not watching the performance. Thanks for playing "If you will not have me" - one of my favourites and rarely heard.

Last night at CSH was excellent.

I have to agree, we thought it was the best night of the tour. Well worth the struggle through the football/rugby traffic to get there and back. That Ashby de la Zouch song was so terrible it just made it brilliant!

Did you go to the rest of it then ??? Sorry, just being pedantic. Some of us only managed to attend one of the gigs, and thought it wonderful too. Mind you, it was in Wales so probably doesn't count.  :(
All along and down a lea!

Upcoming gigs:

Cropredy, August 7 - 9
Simpson Cutting & Kerr, 23.09. Cardiff
10cc, 8th October, Swansea Grand Theatre
Show of Hands, Cardiff, November 20th
Bellowhead, Cardiff, 26 November

Sorry GF! Yes all right we didn't see them all but it was the best night from the few we did get to see. That's not to suggest the rest of the gig's where nothing less than brilliant (as they always are), we just happened to enjoy the CSH gig the most.

Dear Trunkles

I apologise for my last post, which *sounded* rather cross and sarcastic. Drink had been taken.   ::) Please forgive me.  :)
