About Time
« on: Friday, September 6 2013 03:14PM GMT-1 »
So it appears that Jon and Sam were involved in the new Richard Curtis film, About Time, and, from Fay's Facebook messages, Jon at least is on screen! I was in two minds about whether to go see this, but now I have to!

Yes, you can see them in the TV advert - busking in the Underground.

We did have a discussion on this before, and Fi had heard that some BH tubes are included in the soundtrack. Think I'll be going to see it too!

Edit: tunes not tubes!

Need to buy a bigger TV, clearly!

Well, they're only on for a few seconds, so easy to miss them!

Sam went to see it at Leicester Square  in June, I hadn't realised it wasn't released until now.

Haven't seen the trailer either, so thanks Strickley  :).

It tells you far too much in the trailer! I had to stop it so I didn't get overwhelmed with spoilers.
When you're a kid, they tell you it's all "grow up. Get a job. Get married. Get a house. Have a kid, and that's it." But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It's so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.

We went to see it yesterday. Enjoyed it - nothing challenging, but enjoyable enough. Typical Richard Curtis film but made a nice change from all the stuff that seems to be on TV at the moment warning of 'upsetting scenes and violence'.

Jon and Sam and a couple of others are busking in the underground  - quite a lot of the song is played and some close ups too. Also, the song Jon sings is the first song as the credits roll at the end. Jon is featured in the main credits, Sam gets a smaller credit later as one of the musicians

Forgot to say we went to see it last week, and enjoyed it very much. Nice views of Cornwall at times. I didn't know until we heard it that the song that Jon sings is one of my favourite Waterboys tracks! It's available for download - if we all buy it, can we get it into the charts?!

Just watched the film on Sky. Enjoyable and not too sickly. I was puzzled why Sam was a busker, but another guy (anyone know who?) was playing fiddle. Seems weird.

I recorded it and will watch it when I've ploughed through all the other stuff I've got queuing up.
