First Bellowhead concert in 2004
« on: Monday, November 11 2013 12:39PM GMT-1 »
Following a discussion on Facebook I decided to try and find out how many forumites were at the very first Bellowhead gig at Oxford Folk Festival in 2004?

I was for one! :aemo_spibod_wave:

Me, Nick, Sandra (though she doesn't post here often now as we lost her to the bright lights of Glastonbury)

That day, Chris (Sandra's husband) and I met for the first time, and together we went through one of the best night's drinking we have ever accomplished!  ;D I don't think I've ever been as agreeably, bouncily sozzled before or since  ::)  :D

It was a superb day all round. The only worry was we weren't sure whether Bellowhead (or as they had been known up til then "The Spiers and Boden Big Band") would be a one-off show or a going concern. If that show had been all they ever did it would have been great ... but I'm glad they persisted..!

Cheers

Nick

I forced my friend and her husband to come with me to see them, and they gaped for a while and her normally grammatical husband eventually said, "That's the most bizarrest thing I've ever seen!", and they've been followers ever since  ;D

2006, that was the year we couldn't get Waterson:Carthy off the stage beforehand...!

Yes, you did see the 2nd one in 2006 GF!

Then you came round to Sandra's for some kebab-van fodder afterwards.
