Thanks for bringing this up - I'd never have come across it, but it sounds excellent (if slightly on the pricey side). I'd love to go for Jools Holland as well on the Wed, but I think that would be stretching the budget as well as they days off work...

we've never been there and are only going for the day.    It always seems to get good reviews as festival as well.   Did think about the Jools day as well because Eric Bibb is playing.

One of my friends went this year and said it was a lovely festival.  Unfortunately due to my job and my offspring I can't get to festivals that fall in school terms.
14th Jan - All Saints, Harrow Weald, 3rd Feb - Brewery Tap, Doncaster, 5th Feb - St Ninians, Chorlton, 25th March - Northwich Folk Club, 10th June - Knitted Character Folk Festival

It's one of our regulars. A beautiful site, great vibe (maybe too genteel for some, but I like it) and an eclectic range of acts, some gems and some not so great. Also, if you have children, you may baulk at the price of children's tickets, but it's really reflected in the activities on offer for them, which are the best I've seen.

Unfortunately their forums, which were quite active, got buggered (where have I heard that before?) and have been closed down.

Decision made - we're going just for the Thursday to try it out this year (time, money, you know how it is...) Bellowhead, Levellers and the Park Bench Social Club - all for £29. And camping overnight as well. Excellent ;D See y'all there!
