Afterglow / Tour
« on: Monday, November 13 2017 09:10PM GMT-1 »
Anyone going to see Jon & band on  tour? Me and eldest son are going to see them at the Leadmill in Sheffield on Saturday night. Didn't realise it's over eight years since they played the (now defunct) Boardwalk touring "Floodplain".

Have downloaded Afterglow from Amazon - only listened to it once but get the impression like Floodlain it'll be one that grows on me.

We're seeing them in London next week - (as I think some others are also!)

Really enjoyed the gig last night - Jon in good voice and the 10 piece Remnant Kings were excellent.

Some very nice surprises in the set - but not telling in case I spoil it for anyone - suffice to say from my point of view a couple of the numbers were worth the £20 admission on their own.

Roll on 28 April when they play Chesterfield!

We had tickets for both The Sage at Gateshead and Settle, but had to miss both! I knew it was touch and go for Gateshead when I booked, but were set to go to Settle right up to the day before. Then farm life got in the way. I used to be more cautious with booking stuff, but then decided to book and take a chance.
Hopefully nothing will stop us getting to Ulverston on Thursday for Oysterband!
