There are a couple of videos and a few photos on here from last weekend at Bampton, for anyone interested. The Music Man video is pure gold, sadly it cuts out before our fiddling 3 way!

But i enjoyed EVERY single second, we so did plan to come down again but Ed got shanghaied into filming something else. So we couldn't make it. It was a bit wet wasnt it! My melodeon stuck together at one point which wasnt too great, and there was not much chance of fiddling in the high winds either - although I did manage a rendition of Shepherds Hey on my cheap nasty fiddle. Must have sounded awesome.

Did you check out the facebook group? Sarah - if you have any footage from last year then it would be great to add it!

We might be dancing at Towersey on the monday if you are there, and I will be there all weekend (does thursday to tuesday count as a weekend?) (ps. dancing for the opposition... so shhhh!)

Yes, much the same as Wednesday to Monday does in my case - see you there! (and please try not to bring the rain with you this time ;))

Well I did go back to Bampton last week, and within 2 days it rained, and flooded, again.

I was at Towersey last year, and dont think there was a drop of rain, so we should be ok...? Im already excited by the weekend: a great lineup; my first chance to see Faustus; lots of beer, and we are staying in campsite 3 (was in 2 last year!)

Don't bring the rain Joe, please! Faustus are fantastic live, I'm sure you'll love them.

Firebird and I are marshalling, so campsite 2 for us, but free tickets so who's complaining! You should be able to find out tent by the big yellow flag :)

this is a shameless plug..coz its not really music related (except some of the songs by S&B have inspired a bit of my writing) but I and a group of age of sail fans have started writing a story
http://www.geocities.com/HMSmonstrous_stories/
well collections of stories...(most are written in collaberation by a combination of character roleplay and discussion.) I will be updating it at the end of next week. (the updates can be a bit sparadic because most of the memebers of the 'collective' have health issues - there are some audio versions availible of some stories that I recorded for the Visually impaired writers coz they were telling me how having the defult screen reading voice gets a bit boring.)
but I thought it might be of intrest to the members of this forum. (if not just ignore this post)

*I'll go back to work now*

Now I really am going to plug myself!  (hope it's not too painful!)

I sing with a small chamber choir called Duodecimo and we have a concert coming up on 21st June at Emmanuel Church in Didsbury, South Manchester.  We will be singing early music by Byrd, Gibbons and and Tomkins and will be joined by Drake's Viols.

More details here: http://www.myspace.com/duodecimo
and here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=53105595104

We do have a website but for some reason, it only shows past engagements!

coming out of lurkdom to say luvvery shelly x

Hi Sam!  Nice to see you over here too!

Latest news on our early music concert is that we have a recording of it, and I hope to be putting some clips on our MySpace page very soon.
