I'm afraid it's not your glasses that have gone off - it's your eyes!  Mine are shocking and I've not long had new glasses so I know it's me and not them.  Time for some eyedrops, I think.

I had a pair of glasses for about 2/3 years and when I got new ones the change was incredible. I think the moral of this story is dont keep your glasses with no case in your rugby bag / on the floor / anywhere yo u leave them

I wear mine all the time (short sighted) had glasses since I was 12. I think I really need to go to the optician as often as the dentist but I never get sent a letter to make an appointment for 1-2 years at a time. *sigh*

I prefer the optitcian to the dentist any day. lol

That's the useful thing about having to wear them all the time   >:(  The only time I've actually broken any was when I took them off to clean the filthy fingerprints off them and dropped them onto the corner of the table.  I had to wear them for about 6 weeks with one lens having a perfect CND logo cracked into it!  If I'd done that when I was about 16 I'd have bee quite proud of myself, but as it was, I felt like Jack Duckworth!

When I wore my second ever pair of glassses the lenses kept falling out..which was amusing to everyone else but annoying to me...that's when I changed opticians.

it is amazing how much dirt they atttract. lol!

I always get people asking why I don't wear contacts...simple enough I'd end up poking my eye out trying to put them in. lol!

I used to be a helper mum at Anna's primary school and there was little girl who had unfortunately had an eye removed and so had a glass one.  She had behavioural problems, and in assembly when she felt like acting up/attracting attention/being naughty (take your pick), she'd take her eye out and roll it across the hall floor to the shrieks of all!  Happy days.

lol! I think it was after we'd had a class do an assembly about bones or teeth or something like that.

I had an English teacher at school who had a glass eye - I was never quite sure if he was looking at me or not!  Also, at university I had a friend with a glass eye - she was forever losing it!  If she was wearing her (very long) hair over one eye we always knew why!

On the subject of specs - I ordered new ones on Saturday, with fancy lenses that change colour in sunlight.
14th Jan - All Saints, Harrow Weald, 3rd Feb - Brewery Tap, Doncaster, 5th Feb - St Ninians, Chorlton, 25th March - Northwich Folk Club, 10th June - Knitted Character Folk Festival

I've got those. They brilliant apart from the fact they don't work when your driving.

Am I the only person on here who doesn't wear glasses? My mother always said I'd ruin my eyes by reading in semi darkness, but it hasn't happened yet ;D

Since this is random chitchat, may I show off some photos from our dance on Saturday? It's the best I've done thus far, and I'm quite proud  ::) Lots here: http://www.tony-hart.com/galleries/bellydancing/index.html
