Somewhere in Plymouth would be nice, so I don't have to travel for absolutely miles to see them (the reason I haven't been yet!) and I can go without having to worry I may miss part of the gig to make sure I can catch the last train home (which I may have to do when I go see them in Exeter).

Carnglaze Caverns in Cornwall would be cool.  It's an old slate mine that was used to store the Royal Navy's rum supply during World War 2, and is now a concert venue!  It's freezing, they have to keep the temperature at a constant 10 degrees C, but its a great venue.  Saw Eliza and the Ratcatchers there a couple of years ago, it was awesome!

Totally! Betty and came across the place quite by accident when on holiday down there last summer - it would be amazing - in fact, I think I'd happily take a few days off to get down there to see them ;D

I'd love to see them play at Cropredy. There were rumours last year, but sadly it wasn't to be.

The Sands Centre in Carlisle, not that i really want them to have to play that venue, (its a sports hall really) but it is the largest standing room venue Carlisle has. And i would so so love to not have to travel as much to see them,  :)

here would be the best place for S&B to play:
http://www.nellies.co.uk/tour.htm

The White Horse in Beverley - Its a huge pub, gas lit, with endless little rooms, dark and dingy on the summeriest of days! In winter, coal fires are lit in almost every room.

There is a large room upstairs which would be the perfect location for a gig. In fact 'Innocent When You Dream' comes into my head when I am there.

Sadly the brewers who own the pub - Sam Smiths - have banned ALL live music from their pubs. This means the consolidation of holding any sort of folk session there is not a possibility. boo.

The Quarry, Shrewsbury. Lovely outdoor venue lots of space for picnicking and dancing. We've got 3 events this weekend: Katie Melluer, Spirit of the 80s and a one day festival.

Bellowhead would be absolutely brilliant there.

But they make a nice beer ;D Interestingly, their virtual tour still says: "The function room is regularly occupied with jazz bands, folk singers and poets. Full details can be found within the 'What's On' section.". Where is this wonderful pub situated? (completely failed to noticed that on the website  ::))

Beverley in East Yorkshire. Whenever friends come up to stay we take them there, they are all impressed by it, and the cost of a round. It seems like if you pay with a fiver you still get a note in your change!

I'm not sure I've ever been to Beverley - and a pub like that sounds like it's worth a trip ;D Would have to drink plenty of beer to make the drive worth it though :D
