Oh Shelley- you're not having much luck health-wise. Glad that particular problem's been sorted so easily!

A nice thing - meeting up with Firebird over the weekend. It had been too long!  :aemo_spibod_wave:

I spent the day with my Mum and Dad in Llandudno yesterday - Dad is on a break from chemo so they decided to get away for a while.  The weather was glorious and we had some hilarious moments trying to get to grips with a hired wheelchair that wanted to behave like a supermarket trolley.  The chemo has seriously affected Dad's mobility (hence the wheelchair) so he can't go for the long walks that he always loved, but we managed a trip up the Great Orme on the tramway and a trundle along the prom people (and dog) watching.  Dad was able to use his camera for the first time in about 18 months too.  (He's a keen birder.) He has just acquired a mobility scooter and is looking forward to taking to the road in that.  I've threatened to buy him a Yorkshire terrier to put in the basket on the front!

Easter holidays are nice things. I love my job but I'm shattered, so a few weeks rest is just what I need.

One week on and I can't walk very far, but I no longer look pregnant and I don't need to go to the loo every half hour!

Thanks Barbara. Got to go to my local hospital fracture clinic next week but the John Radcliffe in Oxford thought I should heal up in a few weeks without an operation, so fingers crossed! Had no more fainting or dizziness so that's a relief!
