There was a small piece in the news section of this month's Songlines about a number of gigs being run for Assist Sheffield, a charity that supports asylum seekers. Mentioned gigs included one by Jon and John on 19th September in Sheffield.

Disappointed that drummers stand at the back.

Yep, thanks - it's been confirmed now, along with a whole load of other tour dates. See Bright Young Folk or Spiers & Boden for details  Smiley

Squeezy - for Abbotsholme (Mon 16th October, ABBOTSHOLME nr ROCESTER, tbc) - I presume you mean November, not October? Smiley

Unfortunately not but got tickets for the Abbotsholme one, the day before. All got rather complicated - because I have to be in Warwick that day, but can't come direct from there as have to collect Douglas from Wales first.....- but think I have a plan!

Excellent gig last night although the venue was giving Kirsty flashbacks - she used to have Chemistry lectures in there way back when!  We sat in the middle so couldn't jig around as much as we would have liked to, which was probably very sensible for our health.  I liked the acoustics in there and it was definitely packed out.  Can't remember the set list but it was a nice mix of new and old and lots of plugs for various up and coming gigs, only one of which I'm not going to!
