Hi Carolyn,

The full playlist is here.

I must listen again when I get home.
When you're a kid, they tell you it's all "grow up. Get a job. Get married. Get a house. Have a kid, and that's it." But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It's so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.

Oh hooray - thank you Stephen.  Oh yes, and another thing - we both enjoyed that Sting song and were quite put out when that's who it was!

I quite like Sting - but I did not realise it was him until it was announced - he sounded different somehow.

Hehe, I'm friends with one of Sting's nephews.  :D  Went to Italy with him a couple of months back!

Just watched Reggie Perrin... it was...meh  :-\ Funny-ish in places but not nearly as good as the original.

The review on Radio 4 the other night wasn't encouraging.

I like Martin Clunes and tried very very hard not to compare him with Leonard Rossiter in the part of Reggie Perrin. The original series went on far too long, but at the start was very good. I hope this doesn't go the same way, MC deserves better. But I'd like to see him in something where he can be happy and - maybe a bit mad again, like in the early days of MBB? He always looks so downtrodden and world-weary in almost everything. I know the way he looks has something to do with that, but let's have a bit of happiness - please?

I caught a very interesting programme on Radio 4 earlier, presented by Tim van Eyken.  It was called "From Dots to Downloads" and is available on "Listen Again" here:

The intro to the Proms broadcasts on TV show split-second clips of last year's highlights. BH can clearly be seen!

Several of my friends are in a live prom on BBC4 tomorrow night, with the BBC Phil - I'll miss it though.  Forgot to ask what they're playing (that is apart from violin, French horn etc)
