Just booked tickets for the autumn tour. Conversation went like this:

"Can I book tickets for Spiers and Boden please?"

Who?

"Spiers and Boden - it's in October"

"Ah, you nearly got the name right - it's actually Spears and Boden"

I gently tried to point out that this was incorrect but didn't get very far..

It was difficult not to laugh - the box office person was really quite officious - I nearly snorted with laughter at one point and had to cough to disguise it. Wouldn't really be fair to name the venue though, would it

Disappointed that drummers stand at the back.

I love people who are confident and wrong!

I still don't understand why people get it wrong.  Huh? You wouldn't say "church spear", would you?

Mark-at-work's going down to the Bully some time this week so I've asked him to ask what's going on (or not).

Hi there,

The Bully gig was pencilled in for the tour and mistakenly went up on the website for a week or so before it was confirmed.  We would have kept it in but there was a gap between the last gig of the tour and the Bully one so we decided to save it for another tour.  We are, however, doing Nettlebed on the same tour which is a different vibe, but quite close to Oxford (another reason for not doing both on the same tour).

Sorry if we got anyone's hopes up - we will be doing another Bullingdon gig at some point, just not this Autumn.

Cheers

That a relief! I was going to be away that week and miss it. At least I can go back to looking forward to it now aemo_spibodjmp

Think I'll be heading to the Goose instead of Nettlebed, given my current location - a nicer bunch of people there too  Smiley (no offense, Anna, Carolyn and Trunkles - I'm talking about the rest of the punters at NB, not you!).
