Disappointed that drummers stand at the back.

Though some (ie me) would say that £20 to see a trio (£6.70 per band member) or 16.50 to see a 4 piece (£4 per band member) is actually way more expensive than £25 to see 11 people (a mere £2.30 per member).
To make the same as the Show of Hands gig we would need a ticket price of over £70.
So actually £25 is quite a bargain really!!

Not sure I follow this logic. Surely it's the quality not the quantity?

We always get quality and quantity with Bellowhead!

Well, I'm glad we're going especially now that I've heard about the beer  - and I won't have the car - and our onward train isn't until lunchtime ish! . I think it is excellent value! aemo_spibodjmp

Julie Fowlis was on in Shrewsbury recently and it was £19.50 for a ticket and there's only one of her (although I suppose she might have had a band). Husband asked me if I wanted to go and I must admit I pointed out that the Bellowhead ticket had been less than that! We didn't go

It's soon! am getting excited and looking forward to the beer Smiley. Will try and look at some of the rest of the festival stuff the next morning - but most of the things don't open until lunch time...

and there's a nice picture of the beer in this month's Songlines (wonder if we'll be able to keep the bottle as a souvenir? Some how I doubt it...)

I expect that you can keep the bottle, Pickeletto - the contents might be another matter!

Well no bottles (though got a poster) but beer excellent! Music fab too - heard Little Sally Racket for first time which must be folk punk with Jon reminding me of Johnny Rotten in his delivery. Jon has a shiny new suit - he mugged Bobby Dazzler!

Well I'd better get in to see them at Sidmouth or there'll be trouble Wink - if it's any consolation (probably not!) I won't be able to try the beer though - after drinking real ale since I was 14 (so 30 years!) I've had to stop - just doesn't agree with me any more  Sad and this Hedonism beer is brewed in my home town too.... Cry

Well, from memory they played:
New York girls
Roll her down the bay
Hudson's hornpipe
Cross eyed and chinless
Little sally racket
Cholera camp
Hopkinson's favourite
Flight to Bucharest
London town
Frogs legs
Sloe gin set
Rochdale coconut dance
Cold blows the wind
Yarmouth town
Amsterdam
Fakenham fair
Whiskey
Haul away

Not right order! Some will be pleased to hear that the frying pan reappeared - with Pete wearing ear defenders
