It was a wonderful gig last night in Hereford. The setting was perfect as the band had plenty of room and the lighting and sound was excellent.  The whole evening was simply magical and we were treated to a 90 minute sing around in the bar afterwards. The only people who wanted to go home were the bar staff!

I waited and waited for someone to put this on YouTube but no one did so at last I managed to make my own recording. Apologies for the iffy sound.

Does any one know what the music is that Jon has been playing before and during half time at each of the R.Kings gigs this tour?

It was the Golden Gate Quartet - Gospels & Spirituals

I couldn't get to the Pontardawe Gig because I was working ( night shifts, bah!) but was lucky enough to win a free promotional JB &tRK CD for the tour. The fine people at Neath Port Talbot Council who run the Pontardawe Arts Centre did a wee comp on Facebook.
track list:
Beating the Bounds
The Lowks a proper Swell Lass
One Night as I lay
April Queen
Josephine
I wish that the Wars Were all over

The Lowks a Proper Swell Lass is a wonderful track isn't it, Scots Guy in Wales? I acquired a copy of this promotional cd a while back but have to confess that I only played it for the first time quite recently.  :-[

I love the song, it is so poignant, so touching. Marvellous stuff! Sorry you couldn't make the gig - maybe another time.  :D

Thanks - it was hard because they had a word limit of 250 words, but couldn't make it that short - but still had to distill it down to get it to an acceptable size

Prob not available unless you subscribe to e-edition... however, thought I might send it to BYF now
